Important facts!
- For any student of CEU
- Valid for your MA 35 visa and residence permit (if needed)
- The start date of insurance is according to the academic plan of CEU. If you need insurance before that time or afterwards (max. 6 months in both cases) please select the “extend insurance” dropdown option below.
- You don’t need to upload ANY documents in the registration process. You just confirm with a click that you are currently a student, faculty or staff member of CEU
- Valid all over Europe (except Switzerland)
- The insurance is provided by UNIQA, Austria’s largest insurance company
Cancellation:
The university will cancel your insurance automatically at the end of your studies/work in Austria. If you want to extend your insurance (max. 6 months) click on “Extend your insurance” dropdown below.
Good to know!
- If you stay overnight in a public hospital, UNIQA will pay your bill directly.
Please do not stay overnight in a private hospital, it will NOT be covered. - If you use the LARA network, the insurance will directly pay your doctor/pharmacy/laboratory/x-ray bills.
- If you use service outside of the LARA network, you have to pre-pay and use our “Request Refund” button above to get refunded.
Dental treatments:
Right from the beginning you can go to any dentist for medically necessary treatments (e.g. necessary pain prevention and pain relief) and get the medically necessary BASIC treatment (for example amalgam filling (Amalgamblomben)) and get 80% refunded.

You have the possibility to extend your CEU health insurance for July and August 2023 after you finish / leave CEU.
You will keep have the same product but you will get a new insurance number (as your CEU insurance is specifically for your academic time) and you will pay for the new one yourself).
Important: Your insurance is cancelled automatically after your insurance period. If you leave the country earlier, you have to actively cancel the insurance: www.feelsafe.at/cancel
The money for the health insurance will be taken from your bank account (Austrian or other European bank account needed; so called SEPA account).

56 – 70 years: €356.47 / month
